Moron - you know that the prosecution against Monica has nothing to do with participating in the local Baksheesh that's required to get anything done around here, and everything to do with the fact that despite her husbands complete lack of any balls, SHE penned a resolution for the impeachment of Bush and got it passed on a local level.

And now that those slimy GOP hangers-on no longer have any NATIONAL influence, but still have local due to useful idiots and milquetoast jackboot snugglers, they want Monica's head as a booby prize - especially Judge Cohn, who is in truth pissed cause he's involved in some of the exact same corruption, and the REAL reason he's pissed is that they bought him cheaper than they did her, and he is enraged that a mere councilwoman managed to hold out for more money than he did.

As for bulldozing a quarter of Detroit, look mano - most of those places are gone, beyond repair, even the plumbing and electrical systems have been stripped by scrappers desperate for any income to survive on, and due to the weakening effect of having the walls torn out like that and no maintenance them places are about to come down themselves, not to mention they're breeding grounds from friggin rats and feral dog packs.

You live in Tennessee, which is a mix of light urban and rural - and that means you've probably never seen what happens when a neighborhood collapses and goes feral - I have, it ain't pretty.

Frankly, some folk have *already* started going back to agriculture in the area, which is actually a smart move, cause depending on the same corporate empires which ripped off and fucked their parents with their corruption of the unions and outsourcing is stupid.

It's almost funny, watching PN rail about how corrupt "the system" is, and then watching him rail about how evil anyone is who tries to go against "the system" and try something new.

WHY shouldn't Detroit shrink? Its job base certainly has. Its budget has. Its income has. People have this idea that cities and economies should only ever grow and grow and grow, and that they should never shrink or stand still, lest they die. There are such concepts as viability. Hell, I *WISH* Austin would shrink by a quarter...

The solution to urban decay is CLOSING THE BORDERS. No more exporting factories, no more importing 100-million illegal aliens. Kill the private "Federal" Reserve Bank that steals 100% of income tax.
