BREAKING NEWS!

Quote:

President Barack Obama will have Bud Light tomorrow when he hosts an old friend and the police officer who arrested him.

Obama, 47, has picked the top-selling beer in the U.S. for his get-together at the White House with Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Cambridge, Massachusetts, police Sergeant James Crowley, White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs said today. Crowley will probably drink Blue Moon and Gates is likely to opt for Red Stripe, Gibbs said, citing news reports about their preferences.

Personally, I'm a Miller Lite guy.

Once again, Obama disappoints me.

I'd rather go with Gates's choice - Red Stripe.

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

Thanks.

The song "real men of genius ..." is now running through my head.

Anyway, after much trial and error, I have to admit to heresy. I don't like anything Sam Adams best. Not anything Boont either. It's Heineken.

If naught else, Gates has taste, Red Stripe indeed.

Another piece over on CNN.com makes a controversy out of this. A Mass. Democrat legislator is upset because they're drinking FOREIGN beers-, Bud now being owned by those Belgian guys. He sez, because of all 3 mens' ties to Massachusetts, they should all be patriotic and drink Sam Adams.
Sometimes the right wing criticism of Democrats is right-- they can do things that are too dumb to even think about

That's it - I want a complete listing of every car owned by every member of Congress! And there better not be a single "import" in that list! And by "import", I mean Chrysler, too - them being owned by FIAT now.

No Benzes, BMWs, or Audis allowed. No Hondas, Toyotas, or Nissans, either.

At least some feet will come out of some mouths if beer is to be consumed. Not sayin' they won't go right back in though.

I was thinking Sam Adams Black Lager would cover both being American and politically correct but, being a conservative, buying a black would probably be interperted as wanting to bring back slavery.

... fully loaded, safety off...

I wonder if here will be any limits? I can see the first few kicking in and everything is good, people hugging, all is forgiveness. If they go past "a few" things could change. I can imagine a paparazzi view with a 500 mm lens as they chat and then hug and then end up wrestling on the ground underneath a beautiful oak tree on the White House lawn. It can be real touching when beer and people come together.
