Who'd have thunk it?

It turns out that even Democrats will admit that mail-in ballots are a bad idea when they don't like the results.

In person only voting. Photo ID required. Problem solved. Period.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Put ninhydrin on a finger after you vote like they do in many countries. That way no one can physically vote twice. That gets rid of even the chance of any thoughts of voting multiple times. It eliminates a lot of nonsense over voter registration rolls. It won't matter if you've moved or forgot you originally resisted using your middle initial. You can only vote once. Problem solved. Make it a voting holiday and extend it over multiple days. Use individually numbered paper ballots only and provide everyone a copy. Hand count in public, with witnesses.

We can argue the means by which you make sure that people aren't stuffing the ballot boxes with bogus votes, but I think we can agree that a mail-in ballot system with zero checks and balances is a terrible idea. For many reasons, other than the plainly obvious.

I mean, look at the NJ situation right now. A month later and they're still all over the map about this.

Given the last few months and what we've seen, could you imagine the atmosphere in the country if we're still trying to figure out who is President a week away from Christmas when Congress decides to go on Winter Break? Or even worse if it still hasn't been decided after the winner is supposed to give their inauguration speech?

Do Right, Be Right. :)

doesn't exist in real life. And I'm not going to spend time arguing against your fantasies.
