DREAMTROVE

Not to say we should fire Finn for his failure to assess this threat correctly, but Houston, we have a problem

Someone who's better at finding stuff than me, I saw a story earlier about larger scale troop relocation in NK towards a more aggressive stance and possible invasion of SK.

I suspect the new Japanese PM, who is looking to forge closer ties with China will turn a blind eye to this one. I am totally convinced that Bush and Co. will. If NK attacks, we have a situation.

Korea, like Taiwan and HK, but more so, is our responsibility. The free world is shriveling. If the neocons are making a stab at global domination, they are getting our asses kicked.

Latin America, Central Asia, and much of east asia has been lost to the pro-communism side. Aside from the devestating blow that the low of the world's tenth wealthiest nation (recently booting mexico for the spot,) the are more grave concerns for the United States. SK holds much of the parts production for America's major industrial companies, include a large number of defense contractors. Without South Korea, the United States literally grinds to a halt.

I am beginning to realize that NK will use a threat of nuclear arms and its Chinese-bought arsenal of conventional arms to make a run at a military takeover of the peninsula with at least the secret backing of China. The only thing which can stop this is a promise of a military response by either America or Japan, hopefully both. But it would have to be an America with balls, not a twinkie empire of George W. Bush.

I'm open to ideas, if anyone has any.

I think this is more indicative of NK saber rattling. I know you've pegged China as the new big bad but I don't see what's in it for them either. Russia and America played this big game of Chess with proxy wars, China not so much.

And Japan, Japan hasn't got a military to threaten anyone with.

And just so we're clear Hong Kong was never your responcibillity. It was a British Colony leased from China, the lease ran out and it went back to the Chinese. Your desire to prevent that with military intervention isn't protecting Hong Kong, it's an invasion of Chinese sovergn soil. If the French marched an army into the area gained in the Louisiana purchase I suppose you'd take that as okay?

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see.
