Some citizens decided to take matters into their own hands, and stage an assault on the gravest threat our nation has ever faced - our own so-called protectors.

They were known as the Citizens Commission to investigate the FBI.
And this is their story.

Worth a reminder here, the original backlash against our overreaching alphabet agencies was *NOT* something which came out of playing nice, or by the rules of a rigged game, or begging politely for an FOIA request, it was out-and-out covert warfare.

Which lead to the Pike and Church commissions, the pentagon papers, family jewels, etc...
And FISA, and the snickering promise to never do it again even as they went right back to doing it immediately.

Which begs the question, they got their free bite, and mercy gave them another...
And so, with once again, someone (Snowden) needing to break all the rules to expose their monstrous behavior, why the FUCK would anyone with the slightest ounce of sense trust any promise to behave and comply with the law from these scum, which have been shown repeatedly to be a far graver threat to all we hold dear than any other force.

Compliance is not enough, they must be DESTROYED.

But it's not like that anymore. It was just low-level employees, and no one higher up knew anything - like in the IRS focus on conservative groups, Fast & Furious, lousy planning and execution of the Healthcare.gov site, etc.

I admit I loled. Good sarcasm.

I wonder if government officials give thanks every day to the expendable low level cannon fodder scapegoats they dump every day to keep their reputations clean. Maybe they roll up laws and legal documents to burn like incense in memory of the fallen.

Snowden IS a hero. He didn't take an oath to keep secrets no matter what, he took an oath to protect and uphold the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Did... He even take an oath? I thought he was just a contractor, not military.

Not sayin' you're wrong in spirit, or that he shouldn't fall under whistleblower protections. But that was my understanding.
