Protect IP is the one that's looking like it will pass. In its initial iteration Pat Leahy has suggested removing his initial punishment for unlicensed websites, which was shutting them down, like SOPA, to have it replaced by a milder "blocking all US access to the site." of course, if passed they will immediately go about trying to add back in the SOPA provision.

there are about a half dozen of these bills circulating, and this one has the support of the democrats and enough commie republicans to pass. This policy is copied directly from China's great firewall, and every business on the internet is in opposition. More of the change he was hoping for I guess.

I guess that leaves two options: set up an alt internet, or flee the country, any suggestions?

Alt internet is the easiest. Fleeing the country is probably the best long term option, but it makes you a target, and where else would you go? I guess you could go to Switzerland and get arrested on trumped up charges that amount to "pissing off the United States."

You could also flee to the ocean, but I think the salt water might be murder on conventional electronics. It'd have to be pretty low tech.
