Neither BBC or al Jazerra indicate the protesters are armed with anything other than stones and Molotov Cocktails. You have any cites for the folks in Hama being armed by the U.S.?

I heard a piece on NPR yesterday about how lots of them are fleeing to Turkey to take refuge there against the Serian government. Yeah, we can't really go in there and fix it, but we can encourage people there to fight against the tyrany.
