Rap and Mike win again. Not sure why you guys don't get along. Unless you're married ot something, oh, I so didn't need that image.

Anyway. Yeah. This is something they've been doing for years, and it's not a bad idea. They plan out cities, build them, and then sell cheap, and give tax incentives. If you'd seen Beijing or Chongqing it makes sense.

He downside is that for political reasons they want to move some people into the middle of the desert so they can become majorities in Xinjiang and Tibet. (commies could be setting up structural majorities so when the democrats win, there's no actual change of power)

Cities in the desert tend to be environmental disasters because they suck off resources from other areas.
