Yes, it's a small thing, but it makes me wonder: just how smart are our legislators (yeah, I know; rhetorical question)? I'm used to them not being able to pronounce "nuclear", but if one has a speech to give encouraging the government to treat someone as a terrorist, shouldn't one at least be able to pronounce the name of his organization?

He's not saying anything because he's a half-ass compromiser, and in this issue, there is very little room for compromise.

You either support Assange as press, a foreign press at that, or you classify him as an EVIL terrorist, which would trigger all sorts of flashbacks of Bush. He's probably waiting on legal counsel on what the US govt can charge him with, and how embarrassing it would be when the legal process fails to extradite him to Gitmo, which is supposed to be the one thing he has closed by now--but isn't.

Well, we know impeachment doesn't cover incompetence, or Bush would have lasted about six months...

As to the first; imagine for a second a McCain/Palin White House. THEY'D have an opinion on absolutely everything...but is it one that would help the country??
