I totaly get what you are saying in this post, I would have agreed in the 90's and most of 00's, however I do believe there is a Libertain streak in the GOP that is getting larger and more influential and it is main stream American-ish. You know.. balance the budget, No bail-outs, free markets... kinda stuff. This, I believe, is just the begining and it will lean more fiscally conservative in years to come, Espesially after the Noobies get in office and get to explain their votes to national news. Poll after poll the American people choose a tea party type stance. They go with the GOP even though they differ on many things, because they are diametrically opposed to the democrat's stance on issues. Also, no amount of media minipulation will save Obama in 2012. You can't usually fool the American people twice.
