MY CURRENT FEELING ON THE CANDIDATES

CITIZEN


Yeah, that's a rather idealistic way of looking at it. The British army wasn't particularly well trained or drilled at the time, the American War taught the British Army how to fight (which also started using it's own guerillas) and even then it was closer to a stalemate that had devolved down to a war of attrition. It's possible Britain would have won that, since Britain had greater resources. It was the entry in to the war of the French and their allies, a regular military power, that swung it. French troops outnumbered American in the penultimate battles of the war.

Ironically its the lessons learned in the War of Independence that allowed the British to out fight Napolean.
