Election board members and other public officials, particularly including school board members, find themselves under siege by threats of violence and intimidation. Public opinion and other research has shown that millions of Trump supporters are willing to support political violence and terrorism in order to "save" their notion of "traditional" America.

The American political class, most of the news media and other elites remain committed to denial and happy-talk fables about the dire realities now facing the country. That applies to most of the public as well. But because of their experience with slavery, Jim Crow and other forms of white supremacy and violence, Black Americans know to take these threats seriously.

That suggests Trump is four times more likely to be assassinated than to serve two non-consecutive terms. Three murdered Presidents were Republicans: Abraham Lincoln in 1865, James A. You say there was no coup attempt. I say there was no assassination attempt, but there could be! And there would be benefits for the wealthy if Trump died in office. Here is how that worked with the Kennedy assassination. In case you don't know, laws benefiting the poor couldn't get passed in the Senate of JFK's time because the Dixiecrats, Southern Democrats in name only, wouldn't vote for such.

The assassination of JFK made it possible to pass legislation such as Medicare. A grief filled Senate passed laws that would never have passed if President Kennedy were alive. Who knows what legislation would only pass when Trump is dead and the Senate is once again filled with grief? If Trump’s V.P. is Senator Ted Cruz (JFK’s V.P. was Senator LBJ, the Master of the Senate) President Ted Cruz could get passed legislation that would never pass while Trump is President. Maybe a cap on income tax could get passed where nobody pays more than a million per year. Trump couldn’t pass such legislation because he paid no taxes, but President Cruz could. The advantage of that income tax cap is that the rich won’t have to cheat anymore. They send in one check each year for a million and never again have to use marginally illegal tax avoidance schemes. I won’t vote for Trump/Cruz but I would be pleased when Trump is dead and President Cruz reduces my taxes. MAGA!

The White House presidential phone log shows a seven-hour gap in the record of his communications Jan 6th.

The gap’s importance is difficult to exaggerate. Hiding one’s calls and conduct on Jan. 6, 2021, as Trump did, rebuts his potential defense that he thought he was acting righteously. People who believe that their behavior is law-abiding do not cover it up in this way.

You and I know that Trumptards think Trump is innocent. You and I know Trump is guilty as hell, but if you know of any examples in American history where politicians had swift downfalls that could be described as "the wait is over" please list the names. The actual legal process is slow and unpredictable. Years go by between the crime, the indictment, conviction, sentencing, appeals, imprisonment. With Trump, the indictments have NOT even been made. What we need is imprisonment and I doubt that will happen on a predictable schedule. If you want swift justice, you will have to depend on Trump being assassinated at his Ku Klux Klan rallies. There will be two rallies in April. If no assassin energetically hurries the process, you will just have to wait years before some lethargic prosecutor sends Trump to prison.
