If the protests can be turned on -AND TURNED OFF- with the flick of a switch when Federal forces are removed then George Floyd and BLM was just a pretext, and this whole hoopla was about Trump

I thought the protest was about this

Nope, sorry comrade. It was Trumps political operation. It shows the protests after the initial anger waned would proceed, for the most part, peacefully. That Trump should have let the states handle it. And, perhaps more importantly, that he fucked this up too.

I'll be sure to throw that one back in your face when you're crying about the Electoral College on November 4th.

No kidding, SIX!

Yeah, Dems care about "the rules" .. except the ones restricting surveillance by the spook agencies, and the ones about conducting political prosecutions based on lies and entrapment, and the ones about using non-government servers for government business, and the ones that are supposed to prevent Star Chamber proceedings and maintaing secret "kill lists". You mean, like THOSE rules?

/snicker

I'll set the timeline even closer, SIX: We can throw this is SECOND's face when indictments start coming out, before the election.

One rule that Trump broke is to NOT use government agencies to get reelected:

Win or lose in November, Donald Trump is waging a “law and order” campaign that will leave a trail of wreckage likely to outlast his presidency. Sending paramilitary-style forces into Portland, Oregon, and threatening to do the same in other cities, is damaging the reputations of the federal agencies he oversees and deepening the divide between law-enforcement agents and the citizens they’re supposed to protect.

What’s motivating him is no mystery. Losing ground in the polls, Trump is depicting Democrat-led cities as crime-soaked wastelands that threaten the suburban voters who have drifted away from him over the past four years.

“It’s a winning message for him that he’s not going to tolerate this disruption of society,” Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican and a Trump confidant, told me. “I do believe that most people, particularly those in the suburbs who are not very far from all this violence, are worried about the country getting out of hand.”

Tom Ridge, the DHS’s first secretary, appointed by former Republican President George W. Bush, told me that scenes from Portland demonstrate his old agency has strayed far from its intended purpose. “The goal then was the same as today: to protect and defend this country and our interests from the ever-present threat of global terrorism, period,” Ridge said. “It was never the intention to establish a department that the president can view as his personal militia.”

This must be what you are complaining about: The Drone Papers

From his first days as commander in chief, the drone has been President Barack Obama’s weapon of choice, used by the military and the CIA to hunt down and kill the people his administration has deemed — through secretive processes, without indictment or trial — worthy of execution. There has been intense focus on the technology of remote killing, but that often serves as a surrogate for what should be a broader examination of the state’s power over life and death.

More at https://theintercept.com/drone-papers/the-assassination-complex/

If Obama or Trump was killing political rivals as part of a reelection strategy, that would be breaking a rule. But drone strikes? That is about violating international laws, not US Constitutional Law. This thread is "about the US constitution". Those words are in the title.

Police committed 125 human rights violations during Floyd protests: Amnesty
https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/510383-police-committed-125-h
uman-rights-violations-during-floyd-protests

“Little has changed in how police respond to protests against police violence in the 6 years since Ferguson,” he said, referring to the police response to protests following the killing of Michael Brown in Missouri. “Just as we saw a militarized response and the deployment of excessive amounts of chemical irritants, the indiscriminate and unnecessary use of kinetic impact projectiles and physical force against protesters in Ferguson, we have seen those same tactics used against protesters on a national scale.”

The report found that police response to the Floyd protests was “ultimately a symptom of the very issue that started these protests: unaccountable police violence.”

It's possible that it's just 125 rock solid cases; no question, no "we don't know the whole story/what happened before the video starts," no excuses. Possibly just 125 that they would be comfortable pursuing. The count of video clips of police violence that have been accruing on twitter was over 815 last I checked (forget the name of the lawyer that's keeping the running tally).

Portland mayor rips into rioters for ‘attempting to commit murder’

By Natalie O'Neill
August 7, 2020 | 3:32pm | Updated

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler tore into rioters who set a blaze at a police station while blocking exits, calling the violence an act of “attempted murder” — but that didn’t stop firebug protesters from coming back overnight.

“When you commit arson with an accelerant in an attempt to burn down a building that is occupied by people who you have intentionally trapped inside, you are not demonstrating, you are attempting to commit murder,” Wheeler fumed during a press conference Thursday. “I believe that city staff could have died last night. I cannot and I will not tolerate that.”

Wheeler was referring to a riot that erupted Wednesday night at the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct during the city’s 70th consecutive night of protests over police brutality, according to local FOX affiliate.

Along with setting the blaze, rioters allegedly shot fireworks at cops, broke doors and disabled security cameras as police declared a riot and unleashed tear gas, according to the station.

But despite Wheeler’s plea, protesters returned to the police station Thursday night, lit another fire in a trash can next to the building and tried to break into it, according to the Portland Police Bureau, which declared another riot.

During the mayhem, protesters threw bottles and rocks, injuring at least one officer, and damaged multiple police vehicles. The injured officer was “severely hurt” by a large rock that hit the cop’s shoulder, police said in a press release, which provided no further details.

Wheeler — a Democrat who was tear-gassed by federal officials as he stood with protesters several weeks ago — warned that violent protesters are helping President Trump spread the message that anarchists are running wild in Portland and other liberal cities.

“Don’t think for a moment that if you are participating in this activity, you are not being a prop for the re-election campaign of Donald Trump — because you absolutely are,” Wheeler said. “If you don’t want to be part of that, then don’t show up.”

The clashes between protesters and federal agents sent by Trump to guard the Mark O. Hatfield United States Courthouse became a national focal point last month.

Fauci's Wuhan Coronavirus provides pretext for Dems and other Libtards to confiscate Freedoms, Lockdown the economies of Counties with no case activity. Gun sales go up.

Then Dems outlaw Gun Shops, demanding they close. Gun sales go up, even when buyers need to cross State lines.

Dems start rationing supplies in stores, closing the iron fist of Fascist liberalism. Gun sales go up.

Dems and other Libtards support and encourage looters and rioters. Gun Sales go up.

Dem Mayors and Governors join the rioters, and lead the rioters attacking their own Police Departments. Gun sales so up.

Since March, gun sales have gone to the highest levels seen. And 40% of these sales since Dems started infringing upon everybody's liberties have been to First Time Gun Owners.

Such a wonder.

I Dems steal the Election in November, any fear they have of what Trump can do might be the least of their worries.

Biden does not = the biggest racist the ballot has seen in decades.

But you'd be forgiven for thinking this is the truth since the only reason it seems that way is because his mental deterioration is so progressive that he doesn't have a filter on his thoughts anymore and just says random racist shit every day.

It's actually quite funny to watch the Legacy Media do their best to cover up how bad of a candidate Biden is. If Trump had said literally any one of the things that Biden had said in the last few months related to race he would have been tarred lit on fire for it.

The CSPD investigation found Sgt. Keith Wrede responded to a news crew’s coverage with “KILL THEM ALL” and “KILL EM ALL” while using a Facebook profile with the name Steven Eric. The news station, ABC affiliate KRDO, approached police days later after receiving a tip that Sgt. Wrede was the source of the comments.

This means:
Quote:

This means that Floyd stopped breathing and his heart stopped beating (cardiopulmonary arrest) because of the injury caused by his restraint in the custody of law enforcement officers, to include asphyxia from neck compression. Asphyxia means that there is a lack of oxygen going to the brain. It can happen from obstruction of the airway, restriction of breathing from compression of the neck or chest, or the prevention of blood flow to the brain by collapsing the blood vessels in the neck. It can also happen from the replacement of oxygen in the blood by carbon monoxide, or depletion of oxygen in the atmosphere, like in a fire. "Cardiopulmonary arrest" is not a heart attack.

As long as it's peaceful riots and peaceful shooting.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Both autopsies said the 'manner of death' was homicide.

FACTS.

Get used to them.

Signy, do you have any idea from any of the news you've read how much of this is due to outside agitators?

Look up the definition of homicide, Karen.

It doesn't mean what you think it means in that little chic pea brain you're working with up there.

And if your intent was to say that it was "criminal homicide", I hate to break it to you since we all know that you piss on the Constitution whenever it's convenient for you, but that needs to be proven in a court of law. The dude doing the autopsy is not a jury.

Both of George Floyd's autopsy reports, public and private, officially stated the 'manner of death' was homicide.
