6ix, as usual, your understanding is completely upside-down. The treaties exist to prevent Trump from nuking the world, but Trump doesn't like that limit on his power. The world hasn't forgotten that Truman nuked hundreds of thousands of women and children. Those A-bombs were actually intended for Hitler, if he should get nukes, but somehow or other the US Army Air Force didn't drop any on military targets. Nukes stopped being about defense and became all about studying the effects of radiation on involuntary human test subjects.

If you want, you can read The Einstein-Szilard Letter that got the Manhattan Project rolling in order to stop Hitler's A-bomb. Eventually the American nukes were used for the dumbest reasons because Hitler was already dead before the nukes were ready. (Hitler died April 30, 1945. Trinity Test was July 16, 1945) Truman was certainly no Einstein. Neither is Trump and I don't think Trump is even sane.
