A problem with the idea uv countryz not taking over other countryz or a global federation forming, iz that the planet iz being severely mismanajed.

It stagnated into a motley assortment uv dictatorz, democrasyz and quazi-democrasyz and this loose conglomeration called "civilization" iz a malignant canser destroying the ecosystem it dependz on.

A BIG part uv that iz bekuz there iz no governing body to stop local idiots from destroying the resoursez they happen to be sitting on. An even BIGGER part uv it iz that international idiots can freely wok into weak nationz and plunder their resoursez, ruining the local ecosystem in the prosess.

Iz the alternate universe version uv Earth in wich Hitler won a better plase?

Iz this the version in wich Putin winz and savez the planet? Or duz he win and destroyz the planet?

I dont see a future in wich America gets taken over by the GoPs and we avoid a
calamitous climate break down and ecolojical colaps. I also dont see the Demz doing anything to stop destructiv vermin like Bolsanaro and Koch from pushing us over the cliff.

Without a benevolent Emperor uv Earth, we can only hope for alien intervention or a kinder, jentler Skynet.

Have you been paying attention at all to the EU? I mean really paying attention and not just listening to what MSNBC has to say about it?

At least we live in a country where we have elected representation at every level. If you want to talk about puppets, every single elected official in the individual member states of the EU answers directly to an un-elected and ungoverned body that is above all of them. And unlike the probability that there is a shadow government here that really pulls the strings, they don't even have the courtesy to pretend that it isn't happening there.

I do hope that you're just playing the Devil's Advocate here and not actually thinking that this is a good idea.

Havent paid any attention to the EU.

We hardly hav reprezentation thanks to the partyz. Our individual congressmen and senatorz hav very little power. If Pelosi or McConnel say no on sumthing, it duznt happen.

Since most of the decisions are ALREADY made by about 50 people, I'd say we're pretty close to the whole "emperor of the earth" anyway ... and look where it's gotten us!
