Trump made that "same asinine comment" several thousand times about not accepting the results of the election if he lost. He launched a voting commission to find millions of aliens he claimed voted illegally for Democrats. Then he simply gave up on the effort, until the next election, when he will bring it out again and say it thousands of times more.
