Does anybody know what happened to the Lassader? I mean, I know they were having trouble finding a buyer and all, but the comics don't mention it either...

I assumed they sold it to buy the new Mule and all the various upgrades to "Serenity" we see in the BDM.

But I don't think its fate has ever been dealt with canonically. Pity; I'd like to know how they foisted the think off. There's bound to be antics involved!

I'm in the middle of reading the Serenity novelization, and the author (who I'm assuming had to run the whole book by Joss before publication) mentions in a chapter from Mal's point of view that they did find a buyer for the Lassiter, and used the money to buy the new mule.

I don't know if the novel counts as canon, but it works for me!

i know this is fanfic, but its really, really good. www.stillflying.net is worth checking out. It continues from where mal and crew left off. They sell the lasiter in the 3rd episode i believe.
