Ni hao all! Welcome to part 4.

Thanks to all VFF crew members and all who just read the stories for making this a bigger success than i ever dreamed.

Our 'footprint' in the 'verse just got bigger.
I recently entered my concept of 'Virtual Fireflies' [VFFs] into a contest at UniversalHD called 'show us your browncoatedness'.
We finished 2nd in the 'earth that is'.
[it was global]
Someone had to give birth to a baby named Chloe Inara to finish 1st... ouch.

(Slowly tilts head up and closes his eyes. Markings begin to appear and his face and arms. the hazel in his eyes begin fade to white.)

(In a low growl voice)

Palmer, what's going on? Can you see the Cap'n? We need to know how much O2 he has got left...I can't see the readings here...

**El is desperately trying to reach the Cap'n but it's useless, he can't get far enough. Shadown's Comm is down, and El doesn't know what his oxygen levels are. He has to take the decision to leave the Cap'n and go to get the shuttle.**

Shiny, it might work. If El takes the shuttle out with Oreo, Oreo can then go out and get the Cap'n. I think he's drifted too far to reach from Tranquility and we can't move nearer 'cos they never finished the repairs...let's get moving.

We have no Comm to him and we're too far away now to reach him. So...we need someone to outside and bring him in. That seem like a job you'd want?

Can't use the saftey lines El and I used to harness ourselves to the cannon. they's took kind of a beatin from the recoil of the cannon durin the reaver attack. gonna need the ship to be lined with the capt'n as straight as it can. One shot at this and one shot only. Yeah, this idea will work... least i think it will.

(Kats grabs oreo by the arm and turns him so he's facin her)

(Back in the cargo bay Shiny makes a few last minutes checks and attaches one of the extinguisher to oreo's suit and places the other in his hand)

(Onces the hatch is fully open Oreo jumps out in the black.)

**Elbarto, with his hands full, finally is able to switch his com on by hitting the button against the hull**

Umm kat we got a major problem. Besides the Captain floating through space. When the captain was thrown away from the ship, his foot caught a really loose fuel line. The only thing stopping the fuel cells from draining and leaving us floating forever is my two hands blocking the flow.

I only got a few minutes of air left....

Save the Captain first.. i know an old trick to slow my heart rate through meditation, it should buy me about ten minutes. Save the captain first, then bring me a fresh air canister. I'm gonna stop talking now to conserve oxygen.

...and kat, in case i dont make it i want you to have my dragon talon medallion. It's in my bunk, so you should find it.

KAT ,cut the main reactor. I will suit up and replace the fuel line with EL help. Then i will start the Trace Compression Block, replace the lost fuel and then hopefully we can rescue captian.

(Oreo reaches and grabs the second extinguisher pulls the pin out, squeezes the trigger, but nothing happens)

(Oreo checks the guage on the extinguisher and see's that it's empty)

The o2 is expelling faster then its pushing us along. They better get that ruttin ship goin, or its the end of us and that ain't no way for a man to go. Specially not for two men.

Well done on the repairs. I need you to stay suited. If El's ok, him too. I think Oreo and the Cap'n are going to need assistance - more O2 at least. I'll take her as near as I can then we'll bring them home. Stand by and once we're stopped I'll be down there as quick as.
