OMG!

That's gorgeous!

Seriously, the work in her shirt alone is mind boggling. Her hair... his belt and holster...

Drawing is one (of many) things I've never been able to do but wanted to. You're so very talented, I'm envious beyond measure.

Top marks!

I am so a fan of your work CH. As a fellow artist i know how painstkingly long this kind of detail takes. There are so many areas of that ring true and are exactly as i would want them if i were drawing this for myself. (I'm sorry if this sounds presumptuous i don't mean it to be) I'm not sure how else to explain it but most artists i know is the most critical of their own work (myself included) and even when others are telling them how great it is they still pick out little flaws they see that maybe no one else does. When i look at this i have a very hard time "seeing" any of them. It just looks right to me. Kaylee's hair the one big strand up the middle and the few stray curls on the right side of her face... looks like she just ran her hand through it front to back, It's that good. Her expression the thing she is doing with her lower lip... so Kayleeish. You captured it well. Jayne's cocked eyebrows. Especially his eyes. Eyes for me are the focal point of any portrait and you obviously took the time to get them right. And i must point out (before this becomes a small novel of praise) if no one else has said it your ability to correctly draw folds in fabric truly sets you apart. Masterful i think sums it up. The kind of folds and the way they are positioned and lit and shadowed has to be applauded. Did i mention i am a fan? :) If i was forced to try and come up with some con/crit at all i would say the only thing that i see that don't sit 100% right with me is the the line separating Jaynes lips on the right (Jaynes right) side of his mouth. The upper lip dips like it may be swollen. Was he just in a fight? Is it a different kind of expression? Well that's all i can come up with and not mush else to say but this scale needs an 11 rating on it for your (and some mphilips and a few others on here) work but since it doesn't have an one you'll have to settle for an emphatic 10 out of 10 and Please keep at the shiny work. It never ceases to amaze me. Christopher

In answer to ChristopherRobin, that's how Jayne's lip looked in the picture. He's got this little smirk goin' on and his lip is kind of stuck to his tooth, so it looks funny. I fiddled with it for ages, and that's the best I could get it. It's my main nit-pick in this drawing, too. ;P

Thank you for your kind words, everyone. I feel all kinds of appreciated.
Stay tuned, I'm working on a drawing of Mal right now, and am hoping to have it finished in a couple of days.
