This is the Wilco Models Jayne Special (as well as the hat my wife made me - I love that woman!). I used a dry-brush technique to paint the pistol.

Very nice! Did you use two different colours for the main body and the 'attchments' - rail and under piece - or just different dry brushing on each?? It looks like two different kinds of metals, very cool. And the hat is awesome too :oD

I used the companion books for a reference. It looks like the gun is three types of metal. I did a coat of matte black as a base, then masked it off and spray painted the silver parts. I did a dusting of the silver spray paint over the rest of it, then dry brushed the darker parts. The third metal is actually in the trigger and the hammer - they have a bit of gold tint. It's hard to see in the picture, but it's there.

Summer Glau as an Elf
By request - Summer Glau with pointy elf ears and all. The costume and background are from Shaiya (the MMORPG). I know it's not terribly original, but it was quick and easy, and most of all, it was fun.

No Way It's A Coincidence
I found this at the Dollar Tree. There's no way that the font is a coincidence. I think they were trying to target us Browncoats... Hey, wait a minute. It worked, didn't it?

I had to resize it to fit the can of peaches, but it wasn't too bad. Please try to keep the laughter about my computer system to a minimum. Just trying to foster a little creativity. :-)


Mal's Pistol
I made this for a short video we're making in school. It's carved from scrap wood. Sorry, The video won't be Firefly fanfic exactly, all though I do get a lot of inspiration from Joss Whedon. Let me know what you think.
