"What causes you know...?" Jesse asked Bob, as Sylvia greeted another customer with her cheery smile and famous greeting.

"Well, Doctor Tam, her doctor seems to think damage to the hippocampus, fornix, or mammillary bodies in her brain, what ever that means, but that's his theory," Bob explained, "But sometimes I think its more than that."

"What makes you think that?" Jesse questioned, as she watched Sylvia fill the order for the new customer. Sylvia was a young woman in her early thirties, with long locks of curly blonde hair, a sweet and innocent face. She hardly seemed different to anyone else.

Bob on the otherhand, was a much more solidly built and slightly overweight man, kind of like a ancient viking from earth that was. Jesse had learned quite a few tales of heroism from him, or rather fortunate happenings that just so happened to go his way. He was definately a lucky man.

But something was odd between the two, as Bob seemed reluctant expand on his thoughts of the doctors diagnosis and Jesse doubted that Sylvia could remember it, so Jesse let it be.

Shoutings from the alleyway echoed throughout the tavern as word spread of the arrival of a Alliance Cruiser. Tension in the patrons grew as they began to scamper towards the exits.

Sylvia was as calm as a cucumber as she scurried around to the now vacant tables collecting the credits the patrons had left.

Jesse on the otherhand, finished her drink and stood and faced both Bob and Sylvia. She had grown fond and trusting of them, but could not feel comfortable involving them in her problems. She thanked them both and dug out a few credits and placed them on the bar as she left.

Bob knew it wasn't going to be the last time they would encounter Jesse and how right he was.

Jesse managed to ellude the Alliances clutches and returned a little worse for wear, but none the less returned. A little wiser and a little more stronger......

Uh...is Sylvia's "Doctor Tam" Simon, or a relative of his? Cuz as you have set things up, Simon doesn't end up that far out for another 5 years (Serenity Valley happened in 2511 and this is a year later)?

Still...interesting stuff here;)
