Serenity The Board Game
Wednesday, May 31, 2006

I did this game in school, and I thought you guys would want to try it out. I'm trying to come up with a server to host the files, but I'm having trouble. If anyone wants to volunteer to keep up an 18 meg zip file, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Where did you get the little Serenity? It's so cute! The whole thing looks great, from what I can see of it!

You might try or Either would allow zips to be uploaded.

I made the player pieces from Sculpey, but I included some in the zip file that can be printed.

I guess I forgot to mention what the game is about. Basically you take your ship around the 'verse and pick up passengers, try to find jobs, steal stuff, try not to spend too much on repairs to your ship, so on and so forth. You get alliance credits for work, and try to be the richest pirate in the 'verse. Oh, and yes. You can attack other ships.

Okay, this is the best I've got so far. This link will take you to where you can download it.

If you don't know what a torrent is, you can find info here.

Oooh! I want it, I want it!

I'm a complete board-game addict and know a few people who I could get to play with me (some are Firefly fans already and otheres I could draw into the 'verse with this!)

I'll keep an eye out for the link!

Thank you, Google, for giving me some storage space. The zip file is here.

Alliance Food Stuffs
I created a 3d printable file of the Alliance food stuffs bar from the pilot episode. It can be downloaded from There is also a two part mold.

Not that anyone doubted my dedication to the fandom...
Just thought I'd share a little conversation I had today. It's not a little thing, gorramit!

Vera Made From MDF and PVC
Can't believe I didn't post this already. This is made from scratch out of MDF and PVC, using mostly a router and a scroll saw. I'll have the whole costume together for Salt Lake Comic Con.

Aim To Misbehave
This is not mine, I found it via

This may be the greatest baby photograph ever taken. Maybe.

Nathan Fillion and Jimmy Stewart
I've seen a few of these floating around, so I decided to do one for two of my favorite actors.

I've recently been introduced to another great sci-fi show, and honestly, there's no reason that these two 'verses couldn't be the same...

Osama Checks In
Couldn't help myself.

Starfest 2011 Firefly Cosplay
I found a few others with Firefly cosplay going on. I'm the one in the Jayne hat. I'm afraid I didn't get names for everyone in the picture, so if you're here, speak up and get credit for the great costumes.

Summer Glau as an Elf
By request - Summer Glau with pointy elf ears and all. The costume and background are from Shaiya (the MMORPG). I know it's not terribly original, but it was quick and easy, and most of all, it was fun.

To get a higher resolution, just right click and select "View Image" or "Show Picture."

Jayne Special
This is the Wilco Models Jayne Special (as well as the hat my wife made me - I love that woman!). I used a dry-brush technique to paint the pistol.
