The easiest $300 I've ever made.

Hey All

Today I got some unexpected, but really great news.

Of the various things that are shooting in Regina, one of them is this $30 million dollar horror flick called WALLED IN starring Mischa Barton, Cameron Bright and Deborah Kara Unger. Well today, I got a call from their production office, and got a job with them.

Right now, it's only for the weekend as a security guard. Basically, I'm sitting in my car between 7 AM to 7 PM next to the set that's all the way out in the middle of nowhere, and keeping an eye out in case if someone shows up. Like I said, it's the easiest $300 I'll ever make. And if things go really well, they might just call me back to work a few more days here and there.

Hopefully, this won't get in the way of volunteering for the Gemini's next week, and that this'll be the beginning of my career in film.

I'm really happy and proud of myself.

Try getting work as a background extra too. I did two made for TV movies in Halifax a few summers ago and had a great time. Didn't get paid that much since I'm not in the union but it was a fun experience. I saw Peter Falk and Valerie Bertinelli on one movie and on the other I had a scene with Mariska Hartigy from Law and Order: SVU. I played a juror and she was a lawyer and she looked right at me as she did her lines. Even had a small chat with her after and she said I did a good job, which made her job easier. It was great.
