Docket for December
Thursday, November 30, 2006

Hey All

Today, I was thinking about asking you guys for recommendations of various TV DVD'S that I could download off BitTorrents. See, today is pretty much my final day of the semester. I have a Friday and Monday class, one more shift at the cage, adn various appointments for different things here and there, plus my one and only final on the 13th. But I am pretty much done and done for this semester. And aside from finally finishing up YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN, and going home for two weeks to be with my family for Xmas and maybe getting some hours in at the plant for some extra cash, there are only two things I want to spend my days doing. Exercizing to get rid of the pounds I've put back on since Sept, and watching the mountain of DVD's and downloaded stuff I've accumulated in the last two years. This is the stuff on my docket.

Clerks 2, Superman Returns (2 Disc Edition), Apollo 13 Collectors Edition, The Aviator, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, The Big Red One Collectors Edition, The Blues Brothers 25th Anniversary Edition, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Bueller…Bueller Edition, House of Sand and Fog, King Kong (1933), Network Special Edition (which I now realize is missing), The New World, Raging Bull 25th Anniversary Edition, Sin City 3 Disc Edition, V for Vendetta, Corner Gas Season 2, Doctor Who Season 1, Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 2, The Office Season 2, The Sopranos Season 5, Star Trek: The Original Series, The Constant Gardener, Rescue Me Season 3, Undeclared The Complete Series, Robot Chicken Season 1, In Living Color Season 4, Veronica Mars Season 2, Space Above and Beyond Complete Series, Masters of Horror, Extras Season 2, Profit the Complete Series, The 4400 Seasons 2 and 3, Sonic the Hedgehog SatAm, Two seasons of Spaced, First 9 eps of Torchwood, and various episodes of Battlestar Galactica Standoff, Day Break and the indie I Am A Sex Addict, as well as my usual TV shows, and the December Oscar contenders coming out soon.

Some of these are DVD's I bought, some of them are from the library, and some are just stuff I downloaded after discovering BitTorrents.

When I actually cataloged this, I realize the last thing I need is recommendations for more stuff to watch. I think the only way I can get through all of this before the beginning of next semester is by strapping myself into a Clockwork Orange like chair and have someone over me with an eyedropper administering eye drops since my eyelids are pried open.

Wish me luck.

Wow I would watch pretty much all of those too. I would also consider Vampires. I know it sounds incredibly cheesy but it's actually a very good movie, and freakin' hilarious on top of that.

Damn...you got a lot of shiny stuff to watch! Hell, I wouldn't mind watching a lot of those choices;)

But if you want some more options for backlogged accumulation...how's about:

1) The Unit (Season One) - military drama done by David Mamet. 'Nough said (cuz it's just brilliant!)

2) Casino Royale - ring in the new year watching James Bond get back to ass-kicking basics.

3) Season 2 of Doctor Who - helps balance out the episodes of Torchwood by getting a lot of the material that's referenced;)

4) House - cuz Hugh Laurie's a genius when playing this role

5) Batman Begins - another brilliant retcon effort/reboot for a distinguished character!
