That's pretty easy for an Activist at the Atlantic to say.

Your problem is that you've been huffing your own Kool-Aid for so long you forgot that it was bullshit you were peddling.

If Democrats had anything close to a position of power that you've been claiming they have had on Trump over this shutdown, they would not have given in. The only reason they waited as long as they did was to get the Communist elected in NYC.

"When all else fails, manipulate the public" has always been the Democrats First resort, and now that's finally come to bite them in the ass this time. Sure... There are a good deal who blame Trump and Republicans for it, but it's a coin toss for Democrats at the very best right now. We all know that 4 years ago it would have been a 80/20 issue in favor of the Democratic Party.
