I wasn't there. I didn't see it.

I guess he probably did it. There certainly was a lot of motive.

I was never really invested in that when it happened. I was young enough to barely even know the guy was known for football, and might not have really known about it had they not used him in commercials that mentioned his career. To me, he was the funny black guy on the Naked Gun movies that would pop up in a commercial here and there.

I thought it odd at the time how everybody seemed so wrapped up in that case. Fast forward something like 35 years and that's old hat for me today. Seen that happen what feels like thousands of times since.

If he did it, I'm glad Nicole's family finally got closure. If he didn't, he had some bad luck in the end and I've got to feel sorry for him there. Dying from prostate cancer is pretty rare even though living with prostate cancer is something that a scary amount of men do every day without even knowing about it. It's a very common cancer and it's not usually serious unless it becomes serious. Most of the time even when it's spotted nothing is actually done about it because surgery is way more risky than just living with it is and there isn't a high rate of success on removing it anyhow. It's not a fun way to go if it gets bad.

Regardless of whether he actually committed the crime or not...

Having the police hold a public press conference to announce that, after taking blood samples from OJ, their State Crime Lab had matched his blood to a drop of blood on the glove they found at the crime scene.
Only problem: sure, the blood they planted on the glove to frame him did actually match the blood they had sampled from him (which they used to pollute the glove), BUT the State Crime Lab had not yet received the planted evidence package, and would not for another week yet.

Once this is clear that the police are planting evidence, to frame him, no reasonable person could claim to not have a reasonable doubt, enough to convict him.
The cops really hosed this up. This mostly exposed the corrupt cops, the incompetent CSI techs, the corrupt DA.

But now that he has passed, who will continue to look for the killer of Nicole? There are reportedly some golf courses left in America where he did not yet check.
