Another armed conflict between rival jihad islamo factions of the rebels or military government of Sudan.
Eleven Syrian citizens were killed across the country. An Indian national working in Khartoum died after being hit by a stray bullet on 15 April. Two Americans were also killed, including a professor working in the University of Khartoum who was stabbed to death while evacuating. A two-year-old girl from Turkey was killed while her parents were injured after their house was struck by a rocket...yet it might still be safer than parts of Shit-cago?
Ten days ago expecting a Doomsday Apocalypse, Japan's government announced that it was preparing to evacuate its approximately 60 citizens from Sudan, becoming the first foreign nation to pull citizens from the country. Three JSDF planes were sent to Djibouti on standby for that occasion. A South Korean military C-130 transport plane evacuated 28 Koreans along with an unspecified number of Japanese nationals from Port Sudan to Jeddah, from where most of the evacuees were transferred to a flight back to Seoul.
The Battle of Khartoum is an ongoing battle for control of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, between the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and the Sudanese Armed Forces.
