Once upon a time I was bunny-trailing my way from a topic thread here (appx "What is your favorite gun?"?...some interesting answers BTW) and, I know this isn't supposed to happen, but I was following link after link trying to find out what was so special about a particular gun, and I wandered to a website where everything was available, from specialty handguns to RPGs to shoulder-fired Stinger missiles. The banner across the top was golden desert-mountains under a blue, blue sky. It was only later I heard about the Silk Road (now no longer in operation).

Anyway, crypto is the favorite currency of speculators, drug runners, human traffickers, illegal weapons sellers, bribers, and money launderers.

That's the thing, innit?

If you want to protect free speech, you've got to protect all of it... as much as a lot of speech sucks.

I'm not judging Jaynez for his opinions on Jews. Hell... I share many of them myself. (Not in a generic sense, but there are a whole lot of them in positions of power that are not good people and are a net negative for society). And I'll be the first to tell you I have no use for Muslims and the world would be a better place if that religion (at least in its current form) didn't exist. Oh... and did I mention I'm not much of a fan of Christianity here too? I believe I did.

As for weed, yeah... I don't smoke anymore. I quit that something like a year or two before I quit drinking, which makes it at least 7 years now. But I will smoke again. I love weed. I just don't love how lazy I can get on it and I've never been good at moderation. That's going to be something I do when I've really got myself set for life and I don't have so many things that need to get done.

As for porn, specifically regarding UE, I keep seeing Jaynez make the claim that UE "protects porn over free speech" but I have yet to see him provide one bit of concrete evidence to back up that claim. I don't believe for a single second that UE did that. I think that Jaynez inferred something that was never implied based off of his own biases.

I still have to watch the Gab video UE made. Maybe there's something in there he's talking about. I never cared enough to see UE's or anybody elses thoughts on the site because I tried it for myself and wasn't impressed with it, so it kind of means nothing to me. I still get emails from the site about once a week. On occasion I'll even read them if the title grabs my attention, but most of the time they just get deleted without being read. I actually agree with a lot of stuff I've read in those emails, but the constant beating you over the head with the religious stuff is just a huge turnoff for me. IMO, free speech transcends religion to the point that there is no need for religion to even be a part of it.

In other words, you can get high and beat off to porn while playing video games and still be an advocate for free speech.
