Sounds like XCheck is just a hidden Facebook version of Twitter's Blue Checkmark system.

Dollars to donuts if we see that list it will be a who's who of famous Liberals that are protected, just like the Blue Checkmark system on Twitter is. The only difference being that Twitter doesn't bother hiding it.
