I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

A "tipping point" is, AFAIK, when the feedback mechanisms change. For example, the chair:

Tip it to a certain point and let it go, and gravity will restore it to resting on all four legs. Tip it PAST a certain point and let it go, and gravity will topple it.

There are all kinds of tipping points built into climate shift that we don't knw about, and several that we can guess:

The oceans and marshy areas turning into sources, not sinks of carbon dioxide and methane respectively

Oceanic organisms no longer producing as much oxygen

Forests turning into sources of CO2 as they burn up

The jet streams slowing down, precessing more slowly, and "looping" farther north and south.

The Gulf stream, and other major ocean currents, slowing down
