I don't recall hearing such an offer before.

Due to past experience with GoDaddy's horrendous "service" or contract performance, I won't be trying this, but maybe it will spur real companies to offer the same.

I didn't even know GoDaddy was still around. I'm sure in 2020 they didn't have a porn star cop trying to give Danica Patrick a lapdance in her car to advertise this new service.

The thing about free is, if you're not paying for the product than you are the product.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bezos were behind it.
