This is a well put together film. Much of the first half was comedy, and the transition away was sly enough that I cannot recall it. If you remember back to the Dortmunder gang films, from books by Donald E Westlake, it reminded me a lot of those, plus with some dialect work thrown in reminiscent of Fargo - the dialect was a different region, the work and result were similar.
Actually, the humor was also a bit like Fargo.

The cast was wonderful. It took me a bit to recognize Dwight because I'd forgotten he was in it, and I didn't know Seth was either, so didn't find him either. The little girl was good as well.

It didn't seem exactly what I was expecting, but it did satisfy every aspect it should have. It was more low-key than one might expect, though.

I've been seeing a burst of good films suddenly, so it seems weird that I'm praising so many all of a sudden. But giving you all the heads up is worthwhile.

This should have had a lot more box office. And it's a great date movie, safe on all fronts - unless your date is averse to thinking. A feel-good flick.

If you are going to try to solve the puzzle, I'm not sure all the clues are present in the chronological body of the story. But noting The Rules listed for the plan is a big part, and we are reminded during the story about one rule, which is a big key.

Also, towards the end, when the bartender is pouring a row of about a dozen shots, pay attention to the explanation about the phone company billing. I didn't quite catch that.

Should have mentioned it also had similarities to Lucky Number Slevin.
