This is not Sci-Fi. But some Sci-Fi alum are in it: Christian Bale(Terminator Salvation), Oscar Isaac (Ex-Machina), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, ST Beyond), Angela Sarafyan (Buffy).
I thought I recognized the actor portraying the Mayor of the river city, like Basar, but the credits don't list the role as Mayor, and I can't track it down.

This is set during the Holocaust against Armenians by the Turks in 1914-1915, while the illustrious Woodrow Wilson kept his blinders on.
The story did not go the way I had expected it to.

It reminded me at times of Defiance, a little of King Arthur, and some WWII Holocaust films.
It is good filmage of historically set periods.

This past weekend ion Television showed Angela's episode of L&O:SVU. It was from 2012, when she was 29 playing a late teenager. I always enjoy seeing her roles.
