I liked that a teenager punched Spain's Prime Minister in the face. It happens two minutes into the second video.

Spain's “austerity” policy did not work. A new government is one way to end austerity.

Since 2011 Spain has pursued a set of economic policies for recovery based on internal currency devaluation, labor market reform, fiscal consolidation, and structural and deregulatory reforms such as the Market Unity Law, which are based on the idea of boosting growth through increased efficiency. Unemployment is currently at 21.6 percent, and 47.7 percent for youth, with about 60 percent of the unemployed out of work for more than one year.

So far, the politics of Europe have been Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose ("The more things change, the more it's the same thing")

GREECE: Syriza was elected to accomplish two goals: Stay in the EU, and reverse austerity. The referendum was an overwhelming vote against austerity. but it didn't mention the cost: leaving the EU, so the vote's meaning was equivocal. Once Tsipras was elected and after negotiations with the EU went nowhere, Tsipras threw his lot with the EU, and Greece has been under the boot of the EU ever since.

PORTUGAL: Also elected a bare majority anti-austerity Parliament. But the anti-austerity party turned around and pledged its support to austerity.

FRANCE: Elected Marine Le Pen's party to six regions in the first round of voting, which she lost in the second round.

The reality is that policies around the Euro and the central bank are highly undemocratic, by design. National parliaments and even the EU Parliament have no influence. The current driver of fiscal, financial, and economic policy seems to be the big lending banks of Germany - which can twist any debtor nation's arms into going along with sanctions, refugees, gas pipelines, or national budgets. The only way for a nation to regain control of its policies is to withdraw from using the Euro common currency.

It shows to go ya! People the world over are sick and tired of being spat on and tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper.

I think it's safe to say that the EU will not last, the question is which country will be the first to break away.

Videos are posted by people who can't summarize their inchoate notions into ideas, and who can't use their words. They take too long to watch, YOU specifically don't seem to agree with the videos you yourself post http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=60254, and they make the pages take too long to load.

How about you stop posting so many videos?

BREAKUP from an unexpected direction?

POLAND, ardent supporter of the USA and the EU, in a spat with Germany.

Poland's newly-elected right(er) wing party has embarked on new judicial and press procedures, which many say are designed soley to keep the current government in power, undemocratically.

Germany, which has an interest in supporting democracy - except where democracy conflicts with its economic ambitions, such as in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France - insists that Poland adhere to "western values" (whatever those are) or face sanctions.

As a result, Poland and Hungary have told Germany to stuff itself.

German politicians : Economic sanctions for Poland. Go f*ck yourself and defend your women Soros criticize Putin,Orban and Kaczynski

Quote:

The head of the club CDU / CSU in the German Bundestag Volker Kauder argued for sanctions against Polish “if the country will continue to disregard the standards of law”.

In an interview with the weekly magazine “Der Spiegel”, discussed on Saturday in the online edition, Kauder stated inter alia that “when found in breach of European Member States (European Union) must have the courage to reach for sanctions”.

Hungary to block sanctions on Poland, Warsaw grip on media & judiciary tightens
Hungarian PM Viktor Orban says he will veto any possible sanctions the European Union aims at Poland. Warsaw has come under pressure after the Law and Justice Party was elected in October and moved to bring state media under government control.

Prime Minister Orban had a meeting with Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of Poland’s Law and Justice Party (PiS), on Wednesday. During the discussion, he said Hungary would oppose any sanctions against its Central European neighbor.

“The European Union should not think about applying any sort of sanctions against Poland, because that would require full unanimity and Hungary will never support any sort of sanctions against Poland,” Orban told public radio in an interview, as cited by Reuters.

Anyway, a lot more info available, it didn't make the headlines but is interesting to watch. Grab the popcorn!
