We already had one young and perfect blonde girl who could rock guitar and give that smile that just makes men stupid....

If you asked me 8 years ago, I would have told you that Cheyenne would be worth half a billion dollars today....

What went wrong?

There can be only one ?

IDK, but I don't think she can sing as well.

ETA - Singers can do fairly well and not make it to super stardom. As for Cheyenne ( great strippers name , btw ) it may have had more to do w/ marketing ?

Highlander reference can never go without a nod ;)

I don't know if she can't sing as well....

Remember, that was back in 2006.... I believe it was before Ashlee Simpson was duped into looking like an asshole for lyp syncing the wrong song.

Cheyenne Kimball actually can sing that well. She was so beautiful and had the voice of an angel, years before autotune made that standard fare for Disney and Nick Princesses with zero natural singing talent......

AutoTune is to hot 18 year old girls what fake tits is to married 35 year old girls.....

Cheyenne Kimball was one of the last girls you could be sure were singing without their voice being photoshopped.....

Taylor gets grilled for her lack of singing skills too, so like I said, it may have more to do w/ marketing.

Taylor is portrayed as wholesome as well as sexy and stylish. I suppose the latter is really up for debate, but what the hell do I know ? I don't really listen to her music.

And as for 'what happened', hell, look at Miley Cyrus! I remember seeing some middle aged guy in a late model convertible, fairly high end vehicle, blaring 'Party in the USA', with the top down, and not a care in the world.

Might have made more sense if his 12 yr old daughter was in the car w/ him, but nope... it was just him.

I don't think Cheyenne was around long enough to get grilled for any of her chops.

I do have to admit that I think it's weird that a few of the young black guys I work with are listening to Taylor Swift with their Beats By Dre headphones on.

Rappin and partyin on break but when I have to ask them a question and they pull off the headphones i can hear "trouble when you walked in" and even "we are never getting back together"......

I'm sure they a thug nigga when they with they boys......

When they're at work, they're stocking shelves while listening to Taylor Swift lol.....

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Taylor Swift has a sweeter voice that's doesn't nasally drill the exact same whiney intonation all the way through the song like Cheyenne Kimball. Taylor's cuter and more stylish, and it's one reason I suspect a significant part of her audience is female - those who think she's an icon. It's not ALL about what turns MALES on that determines superstardom. Females pick and chose, though on different characteristics and for different reasons.

Voice, Drill..... Auto-Tune.... Taylor.....

Don't get me wrong. I love Trouble.

Ask your aunt or even your mom what she thought about Cheyenne when she was your age.

Eh, way older than that.

FWIW here's another female singer whose nasal intonation I can't stand, that the men i work with seem oblivious to:

but that's how magic works.....

The woman singing here was already Woman when i was born. She's old now.

Questions about whether a guy like me is worthy of the "love" of a teen or a young 20-something, isn't up to you.....

At the end of any day, I don't care. You better step up, huh?

Yeah... proably...

Really do take exception to anyone dissing Stevie Nicks and her singing ability. Sure, that particular song isn't one I care for, but over all, she's proven herself to be...

Legen -

wait for it

dary !

Yes. LEGENDARY !

Which is kinda odd, coming from me, as I really wasn't all that enthralled w/ her music when I was much younger.

Maybe I'm just impressed that, after all these years, she's still held up fairly well.

So she's not among my top fav female vocalists ever, but there is respect. Lots.

One of my favorite songs in my early 20's was what turned out to be a remake by Smashing Pumpkins....

As amazing as she was, she was a grandma to me......
