I've said I hate theoreticals, but they are kinda necessary for strategics.

Let's say N. Korea finally loses it's marbles and attacks (he was threatening nuclear attacks the other day). How would it play out NOW vs, 60 years ago, and what would be the best chance at winning? Are we even capable of winning a war today? Do you think it would have to directly affect US before we would act and to what degree would it take to cause a majority of Americans to be angry enough, with the waning public interest in U.S. involvement in ANY war (even though our leaders are trying to start one every other week.)

Thoughts in general? It's been on my mind lately...

JONGSSTRAW

North Korea has lots of options and capabilities if they choose to launch nukes. Our Asian allies have only our word that we would retaliate if they are attacked. I don't know how they sleep at night.

I was referring to him threatening S. Korea with nuclear, and it would be something if he could even get that far, probably hit the border and fry half his own people...

HE don't bother me. I was merely thinking about then and now and what really has changed, if anything.

This was most of what I wanted to know... Thanks,G....

"For that reason, the United States has mounted an unusually muscular display of deterrence, sending a guided-missile destroyer and B-2 stealth bombers to the Korean Peninsula – all to send a message that it will defend the United States and its allies in the region. South Korea’s new president, Park Geun-hye, has also pledged a robust response to any attack.

China, which has long frustrated the West with its unwillingness to curb the North, may be growing impatient with Mr. Kim. President Xi Jinping said recently, “No one should be allowed to throw a region and even the whole world into chaos for selfish gains.” "

Hey Wish :)

Don't worry your pretty little head about this possibility.

I give it 50/50.

As long as you're just fantasizing and blowing off some steam here, that's cool, but don't fall into a doom and gloom scenario.

Leave that to the nerds that do it for free....

I grew up collecting comics thinking I was going to get "rich" off of them by buying the right ones. I could wipe my ass with the pages and still lose a lot of money. Besides the point, I actually NEVER read any of the compics exept for the "What If" Marvel comics.

I had no interest in the Marvel Universe except for trying to make a buck. The "What If's" just spoke to me though.

What If?

Anyways... A new joke I lucked into while BSing with friends on a smoke break....

I can't remember how we got there, but my half Irish half Mexican friend at work always talks shit about his beaner side. Don't even ask me how to recreate the moment, but somehow the conversation delved into the "Mexican Pentagon" and the gardeners that worked there.

I dubbed it the "Pinatagon" ;)

Not two seconds later he was asking the Mexican rookie if he knew what the name of the Mexican Pentagon was......

You heard it here first, RWED'ers

and might I add, do you like fish.... shit.... that joke doesn't work typed out.... :)

Do Right, Be Right. :)
