Ha. Your statement to Rap reminds me of S.S. Untersturmfuhrer Amon Goeth pardoning the Jewish boy for not getting the stain out of the tub. Schindler was moved and said "Amon the merciful?" A few minutes later the "pardon" expired and Goeth shot the kid dead.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

To argue with a man who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead. - Thomas Paine The American Crisis
OONJERAH - We are too dumb to live and smart enough to wipe ourselves out.
"You, who live in any kind of comfort or convenience, do not know how these people can survive these things, do you? They will endure because there is no immediate escape from endurance. Some will die, the rest must live."

LOL, yeah, but if I didn't self-servingly qualify the thread title to my satisfaction, AU might have used it as another silly tag line to 'prove once again he is correct, and ultimately (and secretly) accepted by his intellectual master, CHRISISALL'.

LOL, yeah, but if I ....

When Goeth was captured he was jovial and defiant, but it didn't matter a jot to the Russians who liberated Plaszow and hung him.

Chris, couldn't you just tell him to 'shut up' until he has something
relevant or, at least, interesting to say?

Or ... would that be the same as telling him to 'shut up' forever?

Rap's not a golmonging BSG fan. He's Eastern Alliance.

Golmonging & gorram mean roughly the same thing, right?

Oh, and a new kit just came out:

They're close. Gorram might be a bit saltier, unless you preface golmonging with 'tin-plated'.

I liked it. I wasn't thrilled with how it ended, but that didn't stop me from watching Caprica. Of course, you'll prolly say THAT was crap, and make fun of me liking that now, so there's no winning.

*sigh*

No, not a kid. Just hadn't re-watched the original series since it aired. Do I need to bother w/ your views on 'Galactica 1980' ?

I don't consider Galactica 1980 as canon in the 1978-1979 series family, but I do consider the last (10th) episode "The Return Of Starbuck" as the de facto "missing" final episode of the original series. It begins in the original time period with Starbuck and Boomer, and the story's emotion and wit easily qualify the episode for inclusion into original series canon.

I could go on for pages about why each of the other 9 episodes are very special to me, but I'll just list a few names of actors and actresses that appeared in those episodes and leave it at that.

Pamela Susan Shoop
Ana Alicia
Robyn Douglass
Judith Chapman

Kenneth Tobey
Dana Eclar
Richard Lynch
William Daniels
