Crap study, not scientific, and already debunked.

The real science is abundant, and indicates the opposite.

Just because something contains meat, doesn't mean it's healthy.

Pink slime, anyone?

Jimmy Buffet has it right when he sings "Cheeseburger in Paradise". Wash it down with a cold beer or a rumrunner and you're in Kokomo.

Since I've stopped eating peanuts and tree nuts and now I've cut down on eggs(for lower methane-eous reasons), a good slab o steak now n' then is about all that keeps me going in the protein dept. Chicken tastes funny to me now too.

This would be so much easier if I came with a manual.

More protein, pound-for-pound, than any meat.

Too bad many folks seem to think you have to be either a full-time vegetarian or eat nothing but lots of meat and fats. It seems inconceivable to many that you could eat a balanced and healthy diet that contains some meat and some veg.

People become vegetarian for many reasons, health may or may not be top of the list. In fact, strict vegetarians and vegans have to be very careful that their diets contain the right balance of nutriants.

When I did my vegetarian stint - 8 years in total - it was for ethical reasons first and health second. Unfortunately, I found that I didn't feel that great in the end and was iron deficient.

My preference would be to be vegetarian again, or eat meat that was killed in the wild or on the farm that it lived on. I hate the thought of factory meat production and what animals have to endure to provide us with nutrients. I struggle with this in my family because everyone else loves meat.

I think our bodies evolved to eat a diet that was mainly vegetables and fruit, but with meat and fish in small amounts.

I'd been a vegetarian, off and on, for years. When I was broke or lacked a kitchen I wasn't choosy, and ate what was available.

That changed when I saw this. http://earthlings.com/?page_id=32

Warning: It's upsetting. Factory farmed animals, and animals raised for fur experience no joy, and live lives of pure suffering. I won't support it.

Vegans, like anyone, have to make sure they're getting all their nutrients. It's not hard. In fact, it's easier than ever these days.

Male chicks have no economic value. They don't lay eggs.
