Believe it or not, I have seen dozens of these articles. I think birth is just so traumatic that sometimes babies shut down 99 percent of the way and then slowly restart. Not to mention they haven't usually gotten much oxygen so they haven't started the process of oxidation in the brain and can survive the deprivation unscathed. Two hours is longer than most I have seen, usually it's an hour or 15 minutes or so, but it still nice to see and a reminder to doctors they still don't have a clue, really.
