Annise Parker is a prominent female politician who also happens to be a lesbian. She attended the national conference in 2011. That is the entire sum of evidence these two morons have for their outrageous claims against the Girl Scouts, an organization which has encouraged, helped and supported girls in this country for decades. One lesbian conference attendee in 2011 equates to “lots and lots of lesbians” attending. Girls being taught to take care of themselves, rather than depend on a male to take care of them, equates to an “anti-God,” pro-Communist agenda. It’s like the cracker jack prize hiding at the bottom of your box of girl scout cookies.

If you feel worried that buying Girl Scout cookies is like supporting the communist, lesbian, abortion agenda or that it’s the same thing as “eating foods sacrificed to idols,” take heart. There is a way that you can buy Girl Scout cookies, save your immortal soul from hell, and protect the USA from the secret Communist Girl Scout agenda:

Ya wanta boycott the Girl Scouts for something, it should be as drug pushers. I dunno what they put in those cookies, but it's as bad habit-forming as cocaine.

My wife was a troop leader for over 10 years, and both of our daughters members for a long time.

They want to push their Boy Scouts, an organization only slightly removed from religious teachings, which is controlled by the right and PUSHES its anti-gay agenda HARD, and kill off the Girl Scouts, who, gee whiz, might just offer an alternative message--you know, one of INclusion, rather than EXclusion, and not be quite so religiously controlled...

But yes, those things are evil...I closed my eyes, smiled and walked by last time, but I never will again! Sugar addiction is a small price to pay... ;o)

Around here the local Girl Scouts are allied with the local Asatru, who assist them with projects and occasional aid for Habitat for Humanity, oh the humanity.

Meanwhile the friggin Boy Scouts, such as they are, mostly suck up to the incredibly corrupt and abusive Detroit Police via the extremely militarized and quite fascist explorers program.

Well, Brenda, "insane" has become pretty much the watchword of our right wing, so no surprise there.

We had a tiny Girl Scout troop in Afghanistan, that's all I remember about it personally. I just hate the mentality of this crap, as much as I hate the homophobia, militarism and religiosity of the NATIONAL Boy Scouts. Thankfully at least the regional ones have some autonomy, so around here, it's different.

I dunno. I've seen those girl scouts, practicing with their butterfly knives. Their organization skills with their cookie sales have convinced me that if they ever got pissed off they might be more formidable than most violent gangs.

I didn't last more than a week in their ranks, I shit you not. I think I was hoping to get in on the cookie action, but they lulled me into a false sense of security by forcing me into child labor involving corn husk dolls.

Seriously, they scare ME, although I do worry for them given a certain naivety and the forces they've set themselves against.
More dangerous is their ability to pick up strong allies, cause messing with them tends to draw down some pretty serious force in a hurry.
