1988 - My brother spent nearly 6 months in a top-notch hospital.

Brain Hemorrhage.

After NEUROSURGERY, he spent the next 6 months in the hospital, along with all of the mental and physical therapy he could put up with.

6 MONTHS OF THIS. 6 MONTHS OF FULL, LOVING CARE BY REHABILITATION SPECIALISTS.

The entire bill...? 100K.....

Today, that care without insurance would cost 30 Million dollars!

I'm on board with Obamacare simply because it couldn't possibly be ANY WORSE than what we've dealt with since.

Recently, the same brother spent what amounted to 10 days suicide watch in a hospital 20 years later. 10 days, no surgery, the bills were nearly enough to pay for my current house 2 times over.

In the mean time, gummn't isn't going to stop giving healthcare to illegals and immigrants.

My personal opinion, healthcare will NEVER be BENEVOLENT until they remove any financial equation to it other than paying whatever asshole spent 7 years in college to progress.

In the mean time, I did everything right. No credit debt. No car note. No house mortgage.......

But if I have a stroke, I could lose my house.

At the same time my dip-shit neighbor could spend 500k on credit card debt and file bankruptcy and his house and car will be saved, but if a medical issue plagues me, as debt free as i am, it could bankrupt me.

Show me how fair that is?

My credit score is easly over 810 now. Maybe I should just take out 1 million of credit over 20 cards and max them out and default?
