It was revealed yesterday that she recently underwent a double mastectomy to fight off cancer. I wish her a speedy recovery and good health.

Moi aussi. But there are now so many threads going, this is becoming overkill. Go right ahead, but I think the only result will be a lessening of interest in RWED except for us hard-core types who spend a lot of time here. I think that's sad; I hope you accomplish whatever it is you think you're accomplishing before you kill this place completely...or is your intent just to drive away everyone who doesn't agree with you?

Isn't the issue that the chances are very high with this gene that you will develop cancer ie much more likely to than not.

A pre emptive masectomy means that you significantly reduce the risk, especially as the treatment, even if successfull is pretty horrific in itself.

I dunno. Hare choice. I can see how you might be tempted.
