I wonder what vaccine he got the disease from.

This is becoming a very real threat. Every time I turn around it seems someone else has brain cancer. It used to be incredibly rare.

I just heard that a friend from college passed away from it not long ago. Leaves behind a wife and 2 kids. Far too young to go out like that.

Sorry to hear. I've run into about six now around here, seven, another guy has it. It's part of where my environmentalism comes from. It's not about cuddling animals, we have to live in this environment. We also have to be careful what we put into ourselves, and our water and air. Sometimes people can be alarmist on the subject, but some warnings are well placed. I'm dubious that the pipeline would cause a serious health risk, but I'm certain that fracking would. Anyway, the chemical contamination also played a factor in my sister's illness. They said this was not something that could be gotten from just one mutation, the brain has too many defenses for that. It takes three separate mutagens, and the last one for many people is the monkey virus, CMV, but chemical exposure, particularly to CFCs like TCE and DCM are strong suspects.
