You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I liked this one: Mitt Romney Fires His Breakfast

(my stepdad works for one of those "acquired" companies and saw the workforce cut in half and now has to do the work of five or six people with no assistants whatsoever (he used to only do the work of about three people and had an assistant) so I relate a little bit.)

What reason had proved best ceased to look absurd to the eye, which shows how idle it is to think anything ridiculous except what is wrong.

America loves a winner!

I was too deep in mourning at the passing of Whitney to laugh at anything that night.

Ordinarily, I'd ask " too soon? ".

But no. That was right on target. Still a bit sad, but it is what it is.

Yeah, Rose, I saw that Romney one. Poor guy is such walking joke, he gives the comedians endless material!

It is sad, don't get me wrong, but that sketch was one of the first things that came to my mind when I heard she died. I think it's a pretty accurate portrait of talent gone down the tubes.
