There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'm still trying to find things to sell to supplement my lower than average paychecks lately. I have something in mind, but before I go to the effort to list it on ebay and buy mailing tubes, I thought I would check in here to see if, first of all, anyone would be interested, and if so how much they thought I could ask for it.

My mother is an artist, still active, although not selling very much over the last year or so. She and I both have some old prints, the contracts for which have long expired, and these were copies given to her to do with as she chose anyway. If I think this is something that will sell I will need to buy mailing tubes in bulk quantity to save on cost, then I can find out how much shipping will be so I can add that to the listing. Or if I think I can put a high enough price on the print itself I might offer free shipping. I will of course be splitting the money with her, but she knows it will cost me to list on ebay, and Paypal also charges a fee for handling the sale.

The one I have was done in 1974, and is a southwest landscape titled "Evening Sunset."

The image area is 12" X 16", with the overall paper size of 16" X 20". Suitable for framing with matteboard. How much would you be willing to pay for something like this?

BTW, if you're interested, and especially if you live in Texas, my mother displays at the Fredericksburg Art Gallery and also in Salado at the Prellop Fine Art Gallery. She did landscapes primarily for many years, then started doing garden scenes, and lately has branched out into abstracts and collage and several other experimental techniques. Hi hun,

late to the game here, but I can offer some thoughts.

Ebay is not usually the best place to sell art for a decent amount. I would actually try craiglist (hooray cash payments and free listings).

Also, something else to think of, sell open additions through a print on demand type place. I sell some of mine as open editions through Imagekind, you don't make a killing but its nice to have a sale once in a while. Again no upfront costs & you can link it into her existing site.

The image you have appears to be an unsigned open edition print. Have her sign it, that will up its value, or better yet, offer to allow the winning bidder (if you go the ebay route) to request a personalized autograph from the artist on the piece.
