Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

That's not true--because of medical bills they had to give up their home and were in a place which didn't allow dogs. She said she'd keep the dog until they were able to take him back...why did you say they "didn't want him back", PN? After posting such a wonderful story (and yes, I cried; I'm a woos, so sue me), why would you say that at the end?

Me, I'm sure the family visited him whenever they could and will take him back when they find a place that allows dogs. However long that takes; the woman said she'd keep him until they could, she didn't say she'd try to re-home him.

Anyway, thanx for the story; amazing what extraordinary critters dogs are!
