Correction: your fourth decade will not commence until this time next year. Just as the 21st Century did not begin until Jan. 1, 2001, this decade will not end until Dec. 31 of this year.

Plus even with medical advances I still don't think many people will be born now to live that old...

I mean maybe SOME, but 105??

Maybe In about 10 or 15 years (and I'm being generous)

I mean since the 1950's the average life expectancy only went up 10 years.

And with with people being overweight now more then ever and that leading to other illnesses I actually wouldn't be surprised if the life expectancy dropped a bit...

well I don´t give a flying fuck about Jesus and the gregorian calendar so I do count 2000-2009 as a decade..

And there´s many people in the world who are 105 years old today.. Why wouldn´t there be in 2115?

What does Jesus have to do with it?

Do you say the 20th Century began in 1900 and ended in 1999, or did it begin in 1901 and end in 2000? The consensus says the latter. So that means the 21st Century (and the first decade of the century) began on Jan. 1, 2001.

I don't care what all the "Best of the Decade" columnists say, those are the facts.

In general it's accepted that January 1st, 2001 was the begining of the new milinnium.But pop culture counts 2000 as being the begining of the new decade. The geeks and TV, and popular mags consider the new decade to begin when the years turn ?000. But if you talk to other people, like scientest, (GEEKS, BUT DIFFERENT), Government officials, religion, and other people, HARDWORKING people, consider the new decade to begin when the years turn ?001. It depends on who you talk to when the new decades begin. But the new decades will always be either a ?000, or a ?001. That is just how it is. Some view one way, some another. But if anyone says that the new decade begins on some thing like ?009, or ?019. Then we have a reall idiocy problem in the world, BIG. R.I.P NOTORIOUS B.I.G, TUPOK, MICHAEL, WALTER, "DIMEBAG", and all the others who have died in the last twenty years. We will never forget the impact you've had on the world.
