You never hear about someone being fired at FOX or FOX News for being to liberal. It's good thing you libs are not held to the same standards you hold us right-wingers too. The reason FOX News, Conservative talk radio and the Drudge Report are doing so well, is because they're an alternative to your commie propaganda. MSNBC, CNN, the morning shows, the latenight shows, Comedy Central, the News Papers and Hollywood are the one's with NO tollerance.....eat me

This story is from FOX News, so you libs won't belive it.....eat me

GINOBIFFARONI

Actually she was fired for letting her religious beliefs interfere with her ability to play pretend to be a scripted character.

If the script had of required her to PLAY/PORTRAY a gay character, much less play a gay friendly character she simply was failing to do her job as an actress.

What she personally believes is irrelevant, her job is play pretend what the script says and obviously she couldn't hack it and that is why she was fired, not her beliefs.

What if an actor came out and said, I hate black people, don't put me in scenes with them because I believe they shouldn't have any rights....

fire his ass too

I hate to break the bad news to her, but no matter how "christian" she is, she's never going to be able to pound that last nail into the cross by herself.

DREAMTROVE

Mike,

Colmbes quit because he felt like a patsy. Hannity would have rather he stayed.

Don't assume the left is your enemy. As John McCain said "They're the opposition, Al Qaeda is the enemy." Whether or not one agrees with that, the idea that there's a difference here that often gets confused is a good one.

The enemy is the guy who wants you dead. The opposition is the guy who disagrees with your point of view.

I have posted lots of stories with FOX as a source here on the board over the last 5 years, in fact, it's probably the source i posted most often, and never once in five years did someone, even the most extreme, discard the information based on the source. I did get a couple of comments if I posted something from drudge or huffington, because people think of those guys as sensationalists who make things up, which they are and do. But in that case, you just make a second source.

Anyway, for the second time today, I have to agree with Whozit. The right doesn't fire the left, probably in part because it's starved for balance. The actress here is correct.

I mean, I write stories that have characters who support points of view which are far more absurd than this. I wonder if MSM would ever publish them. But then again, think about the PoV of some of the Firefly characters.

Sure, some of them made me sick watching the thing, but only because Joss has a soft spot for some absurd positions, which is the part of him that's a liberal, (Inara was particularly hard to take in her self righteousness) But otoh, there were characters with equally extreme positions on the other side (simon and river?? these aren't characters who could ever be heroes on normal tv.)

I actually wonder about the heroes of the show Heroes. (And did anyone notice a network sabotage of Kings?)

I actually am more interested in this ability to create outside the mainstream characters as sympathetic points of view than I am in politics, so comments anyone?
