I've noticed disturbing trend to folks packing huge signatures lately. I don't suppose there's any reasonable way to 'confine' a signature to fit in a box no more than 600 pixels wide, and 400 pixels deep? Or some other 'sanity check' size?

I doubt it. Whenever someone mentions how much space or time the large files use, they get very definsive. Good luck talking sense into them.

I hope SU will have file size limits.

Most other places I find signature creep to be fairly annoying so I certainly see where you are coming from but I find hear it's not so bad. And since I otherwise like this forum the way it is I don't think it's worth raising a stink.
