Serenity Now/ Equality Now shows up on another website!

Here's the link to the article on Serenity Now/Equality Now on the MTV site.

It also mentions Firefly, Serenity and Joss Whedon.

Here's what it says:

"The cult television sci-fi series "Firefly" may be gone, but its fans won't budge. Their rallying cry led to last year's "Serenity" hitting the big screen and will continue to keep the space adventures alive later this month when the flick is screened all over the world to benefit the favorite charity of creator Joss Whedon. Dubbed "Serenity Now/Equality Now," the event will screen "Serenity" in 40 cities in five countries on three continents. The shows will take place from June 22-24, and proceeds will benefit Equality Now, an organization supporting the protection and rights of women around the world. Wow...and I thought Joss was already amazing! Joss being a big supporter of women's rights is not surprising to me, seeing as how he loves strong women characters, but to be so publicly supportive is completely cool. I love Joss!

Okay, can I just be really sexist for a second here...I just looked at that site,and I am once again wondering at the appeal of Owen Wilson, who so abysmally graces the top of the article. I mean, I'm a red-blooded, functioning female of the species, and I'm left with a single syllable - oy.

But other than that, a rousing "WOO-HOO!!" for the Serenity screenings! On another note, are we still buying Serenity and Firefly on the 23rd of June? If I'm woefully behind the times, which I have the impression, I may just be, then I need to know, because I've been busy and created two more converts who need to be inducted into the covert marketing world, and also need loaner copies.

Also, Hot Topic has Serenity T-shirts for sale online...Not particularly creative, but there nonetheless...I'm still holding out for a Black Market Beagles shirt. :biggrin:
